President Sergio Mattarella will
visit the parts of Emilia-Romagna worst hit by last week's
deadly and devastating floods on Tuesday, sources at the
presidential Quirinale Palace said Saturday.
During the visit, which will cover several locations, he will
meet with rescue workers and citizens in Forlì in the morning.
In the afternoon, it was learned at the Quirinale, he will meet
with mayors in Faenza.
The floods left 15 people dead and billions of euros in damage
to property and crops.
Contaminated flood waters are now threatening the health of
local people.
