Slovenian two-time Tour de France
winner Tadej Pogacar won Friday's time-trial seventh stage of
the Giro d'Italia to tighten his grip on overall command of the
world's second biggest grand tour.
Italy's Filippo Ganna, the pre-stage favourite, came second.
Pogacar, who won the 2020 and 2021 Tours and came second the
next two years to Dane Jonas Vingegaard, eased further ahead of
the field after the 40.6 km race against the clock from Foligno
to Perugia.
