Slovenia's Primoz Roglic won the Giro d'Italia Sunday.
Three-time Vuelta winner Roglic won his first Giro after snatching the lead from Welshman Geraint Thomas in a dramatic mountain time trial Saturday.
Roglic had a 14-second advantage over Thomas which it was impossible to lose on the flat parade around the Italian capital ending in the Colosseum Sunday.
President Sergio Mattarella was at Via dei Fori Imperiali in the Roman Forum Sunday to hand Roglic his trophy.
British sprinter Mark Cavendish won the final stage amid the ancient Roman ruins.
